Reactions from CJP and Rahul Gandhi to Prime Minister Modi’s Statement Amid Youth Protests

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that the welfare and future of the country’s youth remain his top priority.
On Thursday, PM Modi announced the government’s decision to establish fast-track courts to ensure punishment for those found guilty in the exam question paper leak cases.
The Prime Minister said, “The responsible departments have been directed to take necessary action. This decision is a significant step in protecting students’ interests. No individual interfering with the future of children will be spared.”
This statement from the Prime Minister comes amid protests by students and social activists sparked by controversies over leaked exam papers and related issues.
Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi responded to the statement in Lok Sabha, saying, “You have been the greatest harm to our youth’s future.”
“You oversaw the geopolitical takeover and destruction of our education system, and fostered it. You have protected those responsible.”
Rahul further stated the clear demands of the students:
- Dismiss Dharmendra Pradhan from his position
- Apologize to the students
- Take action against those who used violence against students
On Tuesday, during a meeting with NDA members of parliament, PM Modi urged them to reach out to the youth and listen to their concerns, emphasizing the need to punish those responsible for leaking exam papers severely.
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which has been leading protests at Janpath, responded to the Prime Minister’s remarks on Twitter, stating, “Dharmendra Pradhan must resign.”

Rahul Gandhi Claims 152 Question Papers Have Been Leaked
Congress Communications Department’s Jai Ram Ramesh tweeted, “The Prime Minister lacks the courage to engage in serious debate in Parliament, unlike previous Prime Ministers who raised these important issues.”
“This morning, through a social media post, Modi expressed concern over issues raised by students, but the post shows he is under pressure and completely rattled. Vote theft, seat theft, funds theft, exam paper theft… these incidents are continuously increasing.”
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claims that since the BJP-led NDA came to power in 2014, 152 exam papers have been leaked, affecting around 75 million students.
At a press conference, Rahul Gandhi stated, “We know that over the past decade, 152 papers have been leaked. On average, approximately one paper leaks each month.”
Regarding this, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda said investigations are underway and once complete, the truth will be presented to the nation.
He said, “This is a matter for investigation. As a responsible government, we will probe this and present the facts to the citizens of the country.”
K. Annamalai, former Tamil Nadu BJP president, questioned the central government on Wednesday regarding the delay in initiating dialogue with the protesting students against the question paper leak.
He tweeted, “Protesting is a fundamental right in a democracy. But the key question is why the BJP-led central government delayed starting dialogue with the protesters?”

What Did J.P. Nadda Say?
Union minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday urged opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha to avoid politicizing the paper leak issue.
He stated that serious matters should not be exploited for political gain. He pointed out that such leaks have also occurred in states governed by opposition parties, and taking political advantage is regrettable.
