Organized by the All Nepal Table Tennis Association, the event will be held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchaur. Officials announced during a press conference on Wednesday that 70 players will come from the seven provinces (10 players each), 30 from three departmental teams (10 players each), and 16 top players (8 men and 8 women) have been directly selected for the championship.
The competition will feature team events for men and women, men’s and women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, junior boys and girls (under 19), and cadet boys and girls (under 15), comprising 11 events in total. Four events will be played using a league-cum-knockout system, while the rest will follow a knockout format. Association officials emphasized that including junior and cadet categories aims to provide young players the opportunity to gain experience by competing alongside senior athletes.
The National Sports Council (NSC) has granted annual support of NPR 800,000 for the event, with the Table Tennis Association managing the remaining funds. The total estimated budget for the championship is NPR 3.5 million.
