Completion of Concrete Bridge in Savakhola for Motor Vehicles Including Cars
June 21, Khotang – A concrete bridge enabling the operation of various vehicles including motorcars has been completed in Savakhola at a cost of NPR 30,773,598. With its completion, the bridge has now been opened for use. Built with supplementary funds granted by the federal government, the bridge has been authorized for vehicle operation starting this Saturday.
Following the construction of this concrete bridge, year-round smooth transportation will be feasible on the Khotang–Papmākham Bhanjyāng road. The bridge extends 20.90 meters in length. Meanwhile, the 33-kilometer road from Khotang Bazaar to Papmākham Bhanjyāng, initially opened in 2018, is undergoing rapid improvements. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure has reported that the Koshi Province government has allocated NPR 20 million for this upgrading work.
