Nepal Moves Closer to Quarterfinals with Second Consecutive Win

In the ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup, Nepal secured their second consecutive victory by defeating Singapore by a commanding margin of 151 runs. Chasing a target of 200 set by Nepal, Singapore managed to score only 48 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. With Sana Praveen remaining unbeaten on 98 and Sabitri Dhami scoring 74, Nepal strengthened their bid for a place in the quarterfinals. Kathmandu, 28 Ashad.

In the Group ‘D’ match held on Sunday morning, Nepal produced a decisive 151-run win over Singapore. For Singapore, Ankitabarsha Raj top-scored with 19 runs. For Nepal, Anu Kadayat took 3 wickets while conceding only 4 runs in 4 overs. Manisha Upadhyay and Riya Sharma took 2 wickets each, while captain Sony Pakhrin claimed 1 wicket.

Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first, posting an unbroken total of 199 runs in 20 overs without losing a wicket. Opener Sana Praveen top-scored with an unbeaten 98, while fellow opener Sabitri Dhami contributed 74 runs. Nepal’s final group stage match will be against Hong Kong. Hong Kong has already defeated Singapore, and Qatar has beaten Hong Kong.
