The Industry Department has transitioned most of its administrative and regulatory services to be fully operated via an online platform. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies stated that this new system has been implemented with the objective of delivering services that are easier, faster, and more transparent for customers. According to the ministry, this arrangement was made following Minister Gaurikumar Yadav’s instructions.

After Minister Yadav instructed the industry administration to become technology-friendly and eliminate the need for customers to visit the department unnecessarily, the department announced that the majority of services will now be available online. These include industry registration, renewal, updates, relocation, capital and capacity increase, name and objective amendments, foreign investment approvals, business visa recommendations, annual progress reports, CSR-related services, and IEE/TOR approvals.

According to the department, customers no longer need to be physically present at the office for services included in the online system. If necessary, only official representatives of the relevant industry or company with proper identification will be permitted to appear in person to obtain services. Applications and documents for services included in the online system will not be registered physically. The entire process will be conducted purely through electronic means, the department clarified. Since taking leadership of the ministry, Minister Yadav has consistently directed efforts to make the industry administration technologically advanced, transparent, and results-oriented. The system implemented by the department is regarded as a significant achievement in this ongoing campaign. The Industry Department urges industrialists and entrepreneurs to maximize the use of the online system and noted that necessary information can be accessed through the department’s website and system.
