
Stock Prices Rise for 102 Companies, Fall for 165 in the Share Market
On Wednesday, the NEPSE index increased by 0.55 points to reach 2642 points. Share prices rose for 102 companies, declined for 165 companies, and remained unchanged for 9 companies. The trading volume decreased from NPR 411 crore the previous day to NPR 353 crore today. July 12, Kathmandu.
On Wednesday, while 102 companies experienced an increase in their share prices, 165 companies saw declines and 9 companies maintained stable prices. Despite most companies recording decreases, the overall NEPSE index showed positive momentum, rising by 0.55 points. After a 0.79 point gain the previous day, the NEPSE closed at 2642 points following today’s modest growth. However, the trading volume shrank from NPR 411 crore to NPR 353 crore.
The Investment group led gains today with a 2.21% increase. The Banking sector rose slightly by 0.05%, Finance by 0.24%, and the Hotel and Tourism sector by 0.85%. Conversely, Development Banks fell by 0.22%, Hydropower by 0.40%, Life Insurance by 0.15%, Manufacturing and Processing by 0.70%, Microfinance by 0.05%, Non-Life Insurance by 0.05%, Others by 0.10%, and Trading by 0.21%. By sector, the Hydropower group reported the highest trading value at NPR 155 crore.
Mount Everest Power, which debuted in trading today, saw its share price surge by 15%, reaching NPR 345 per share. Similarly, Emerging Nepal’s shares appreciated by 5.48%, HIDCL by 4.95%, and NRN Infrastructure by 3.85%. On the other hand, Aprox Lohorekho’s shares declined by 15%, Women’s Microfinance by 5.18%, and Corporate Development Bank by 4.74%. Among the companies with the highest trading volumes today were NRN Infrastructure, Central Finance, Solu Hydropower, Khanikhola Hydropower, and Ngadi Group.
