Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund Holds Balance of 1.2 Billion Rupees

The Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund currently holds a balance of NPR 876.69 crore across nine Nepali rupee accounts and USD 2,11,84,471 in two US dollar accounts. According to the Ministry of Finance, converting the US dollar holdings at an exchange rate of 150.88 brings the total fund balance to NPR 1,195.17 crore.

The total collection following the Rasuwa–Bhotekoshi floods amounts to NPR 768.44 crore and USD 2,05,22,423. This sum excludes the pre-disaster balance of NPR 208.24 crore. On a single day, Bhadra 23, NPR 30.62 crore and USD 1,12,032 were received.

For relief and rescue operations, NPR 100 million was transferred to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority on Bhadra 16.
