
Nandan Yadav Withdraws from Nepal Cricket Team’s League 2 Campaign Due to Injury
Fast bowler Nandan Yadav has been ruled out of the ongoing League 2 series in the Netherlands due to a hamstring injury. According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Nandan experienced discomfort while bowling in the first match against Namibia.
Kathmandu, 26 July – Hemant Dhami is likely to join the squad as a replacement for Nandan. In the first match against Namibia, Nandan felt uneasy bowling from the very first over due to hamstring issues, and physios were assisting him during the game. Subsequently, he was unable to participate in the second match as well.
Left-arm spinner Lalit Rajbanshi featured in the second game in place of Nandan. While the official announcement on Nandan’s replacement has yet to be made, Hemant Dhami is strongly favored to take his spot. Hemant had a notable performance in a recent practice match wearing the team’s jersey and currently serves as a reserve player in the squad.
