Rubin and Ivana Exit in Second Round of Table Tennis Mixed Doubles

In the 20th Asian Games table tennis mixed doubles event held in Japan, Nepal’s Rubin Maharjan and Ivana Thapa were eliminated in the second round. The match took place on Tuesday at Sky Hall in Toyota City, where the Nepalese pair lost 3–0 in straight sets to Hong Kong’s Yu Kwan To and Ng Wing Lam. The Hong Kong duo secured victory with set scores of 11–2, 11–6, and 11–7, advancing to the round of 16.

In the earlier round, Rubin and Ivana had advanced to the second stage by defeating Pakistan’s Mohammad Khan and Kulsum Khan in straight sets, 3–0. Meanwhile, Ivana is competing in the women’s singles event today afternoon, and together with Navita Shrestha, she will compete in the women’s doubles on Thursday.
