MP Geeta Gurung Urges Diplomatic Efforts for Safe Repatriation of Nepalis in the Gulf Amid Ongoing War

MP Geeta Gurung of the Nepali Congress has called on the government to initiate diplomatic efforts to ensure the safe return of Nepali nationals currently in West Asia, who are living in fear due to the ongoing war in the region. Speaking at Tuesday’s session of the House of Representatives, she emphasized the urgent need for the government to make diplomatic interventions for the safe repatriation of Nepalis affected by the conflict.

MP Gurung also urged the government to take strict action against cyberbullying targeting women. She stated, “I strongly demand that those responsible for the reprehensible acts of cyberbullying against women, simply for expressing their opinions, be dealt with severely.”

Further, MP Gurung expressed her expectation that the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) will play a significant role in building a prosperous Nepal in accordance with the spirit of the constitution. Congratulating Raswapa on the public support it has received, she said, “I believe they will play an essential role in nation-building that aligns with the constitution’s essence.”
