The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has reported revenue of NPR 9.21 crore from the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), a key initiative to strengthen the organization’s financial base.

This figure is nearly NPR 7 crore more than the income generated from the inaugural season.

Recognizing that cricket development is not possible without financial stability, CAN has effectively launched the franchise-based NPL, a globally recognized source of income, and has seen success from this approach.

Prior to starting the competition, CAN had stated that a portion of the revenue would be invested in empowering district and provincial cricket associations and funding various cricket development programs.

Besides support from the International Cricket Council (ICC), CAN’s main internal sources of income include the NPL, ticket sales during international cricket events, and sponsorships.
