
Bus Accident in Tanahun Injures 27 People
April 24, Kathmandu – A bus accident occurred in the Sherafant area of Tanahun district. According to Deputy CDO Deepak Regmi of the Tanahun District Administration Office, rescue operations are currently underway for the injured from the accident. The bus involved in the accident bears the registration number Ga 2 Kha 1836. Initial reports indicate that approximately 30 passengers were on board the bus. Twenty-seven people were injured in the accident. The injured have been taken to GP Hospital in Belchautara for treatment. Police Chief of Tanahun, SP Tek Bahadur Karki, stated that local residents and the police are jointly conducting the rescue efforts and more details about the accident are awaited. The bus had departed from Pokhara en route to Bhairahawa. Police have arrived at the scene and are continuing rescue operations. “There have been no reports of fatalities so far. Rescue operations are ongoing,” he said.
