May 30, Kathmandu – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has recognized Pakistan’s vital role in promoting peace in the Midwest region.
During a meeting on Friday with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Rubio highly appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to advancing peace.
Secretary Rubio also expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for its ongoing efforts in peace promotion.
On his social media platform ‘X,’ Rubio wrote, “I met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. I expressed thanks for Pakistan’s continuous role in promoting peace in the Midwest.”
Both leaders agreed on the necessity to strengthen their partnership and collaborate further for the prosperity of their respective countries.
In this context, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement highlighting that the discussions also covered regional and international developments.
According to the statement, Secretary Rubio praised Pakistan’s efforts towards regional peace and stability.
Foreign Minister Dar arrived in the United States on Friday. This meeting comes amid growing discussions about a possible agreement or understanding between the US and Iran in the near future.
