Jhalanath Khanal Admits Communist Party’s Failure in Identifying Murderers of Madan Bhandari and Jibaraj Ashrit
Former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has acknowledged the Communist Party’s internal weakness in failing to identify the perpetrators behind the murders of Madan Bhandari and Jibaraj Ashrit. Khanal claimed that Bhandari’s assassination was a conspiracy aimed at weakening Nepal’s communist movement. He emphasized the party’s ongoing efforts to apply Marxism and Leninism within the unique context of the Nepali revolution.
On 14th Ashad, Kathmandu, senior leader of the Nepali Communist Party and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal admitted during a discourse on the Nepali communist movement and leader Madan Bhandari that the inability to apprehend the killers was a shortcoming within the party.
“When speaking about Madan Bhandari and him, it is impossible to separate Comrade Jibaraj Ashrit. Their murders were carried out in a highly mysterious manner. Who holds responsibility for these killings?” Khanal questioned. “The fact that we have not yet been able to solve these cases highlights a weakness within us.”
Khanal further asserted that the conspiracy behind Bhandari’s assassination was aimed at undermining the Nepali communist movement. “The plot to assassinate him is a conspiracy to sap the strength of Nepal’s communist movement. Such conspiracies continue against the entire communist movement,” Khanal stated.
