Nepal Army Dominates 30th Men’s and 11th Women’s National Boxing Championships
Nepal Army secured all 11 gold medals at the 30th Men’s and 11th Women’s National Boxing Championships, maintaining their dominance. The competition, held at the RAKHEP Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, featured contests for six gold medals in the men’s categories and five in the women’s. Kathmandu, 14th Ashad.
In the men’s division, Prem Chaudhary won gold in the 55 kg category, Nitesh Nepali in 60 kg, Geshkumar Shrestha in 70 kg, Deepak Shrestha in 80 kg, Madan Karki in under 90 kg, and Ganesh Pradhan in above 90 kg. The women’s division gold medalists were Aarti Bhomjan in under 51 kg, Varsha Shrestha in 54 kg, Punam Rawal in 60 kg, Chandrakala Thapa in 65 kg, and Niru Gurung in 75 kg.
The winners were honored at a ceremony by Siddhi Byanjankar, Chief Advisor of the Ministry of Education and Sports; Advisor Raju Singh; Pawan Shahi, member of the RAKHEP Executive Committee; Rajiv Shrestha, Secretary General of the Nepal Olympic Committee; Ram Awale, President of the Boxing Association; and Man Bahadur Bhandari, Secretary General of the Boxing Association.
