
Dr. Navaraj KC’s ‘Swasparsh’ to Receive the First Parijat Literary Award
Kathmandu, 22 July – The Parijat Memorial Center has decided to honor Dr. Navaraj KC’s essay ‘Swasparsh’ with the ‘Parijat Literary Award 2082’. The selection committee appointed for the award initially shortlisted eight works.
In the fiction category, the shortlist included Archana Thapa’s ‘Agnigarbha’, Keshav Raj Jawali’s ‘Ajyat’, Deep Dahal’s ‘Vijayini’, Shravan Mukarung’s ‘Salah’, and Naveen Abhilashi’s ‘Dahad’. In the essay category, Dr. Navaraj KC’s ‘Swasparsh’ and Bhupin’s ‘Madhyako Ujyalo’ were selected, along with Rima KC’s ‘Bagawatnama’ from the poetry category.
Following thorough review, assessment, and discussion among the shortlisted works from the first round, the selection committee recommended ‘Swasparsh’ for the Parijat Literary Award 2082. Based on this recommendation, the Parijat Memorial Center has decided to confer the honor on this work.
In a statement issued by Dilsundar Shrestha, General Secretary of the Parijat Memorial Center, it was announced that the award ceremony will be held during a special program on 26 July. According to Shrestha, this award has been introduced this year to honor the literary contributions of Parijat.
